Newswire/ -- Christians nationwide are uniting for a special 40 Days of prayer
and fasting for the USA. The purpose is to get the USA right with God.
People from all Christian denominations
are participating together from January 4th to February 12th. Participants will meet daily online at www.PrayDailyAmerica.com/SeekGod.html and pray, seek God, confess personal and national sins to God and reaffirm our founding fathers' covenant with God for
the USA. There will be a different topic every day at the web site. Several pastors have been asked to pray online, as well
as, Congressmen who are still being confirmed.
"A key to getting our nation right with God is for each person
to covenant that God is our God and we are His people; We obey the first two commandments: To love God and to love one another
as Jesus loved us", said Pastor Steve of Pray Daily America.
"By obeying Jesus, He will deliver the
USA from everything. We have a good God who forgives sin and loves people", he added.
Following our founding
fathers' bold faith, participants will daily acknowledge Jesus Christ as King of the USA. This is based on the practice
of those like John Adams and John Hancock who said, "We recognize no sovereign but God and no King but Jesus."
Earlier this year, America saw that 82% believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to earth and died for our
sins, as reported by Rasmussen Reports.
The fasting is optional. Some will fast one meal a day. Some
more and some less based on their commitment and personal health abilities. The emphasis is daily seeking God's direction
for our nation (Matthew 6:33).
Pray Daily America believes that it is a tangible thing to get our nation right
with God. On January 31st participants will publicly receive God's forgiveness for our nation's sins. Many churches will
also have a special ceremony that day in agreement.
Pastors are asked to include the prayer and fasting in their
Sunday and Wednesday services. Marketing tools, a collectible wristband and covenant cards to share are available in a daily
