1776 Delaware Constitution Requires Faith
in God the Father, The Son and Holy Spirit for Government Service
America
has a rich history as a Christian nation. This includes a Christian based government. One example of strong Christian faith in government and
endorsed by the founding fathers is Delaware.
Article 22 of the Delaware Constitution 1776 requires
government workers to declare that they: "Profess faith in God the Father, and
in Jesus Christ His only Son, and in the Holy Ghost, one God, blessed for evermore; and I do acknowledge the holy scriptures
of the Old and New Testament to be given by divine inspiration."
No one can deny the government endorsement
of Christianity in this Constitution and so many other American practices. The supernatural blessing from God on America
is His favor for a people who acknowledge Him and follow His ways given to us in the Holy Bible (John
14:21, Psalms 33:12).
