Know Jesus: Daily Devotional and Prayer Today's Bible Verse: Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. Psalm 33:12 Declaration: We declare God is merciful to the USA in Jesus' name. (Mark 11:23) Devotional: God calls us to forgive those who wrong us. We are not to have any bitterness. All sin, like responding in impatience or hatred, is to be cast off. We are to be like Jesus and love one another. One way to do this is to show grace and mercy to others. By doing this, we will see the Kingdom of God. Hebrews 12:14-15 directs us: "Pursue peace with all men, and holiness…lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled…" If others refuse to make peace with us, we can still love them and follow Jesus.
